Coveting

To anyone who is listening....
If you buy me THIS I will love you forever..
I just discovered the Cabinet of Curiosities Etsy team and I think I am in love. I haven't visited all of the sites yet, but I want pretty much everything from the ones I have visited!
Sometimes you just like to feel a bit strange you know?

Redmond Fun Times Part II

So after the sale (previous post) we went back to their house and Toni (who is also a bartender) made yum yummy cocktails, that of course were also pretty.

I spent the night and the next morning was warm and wonderful. We made breakfast and sat outside at the picnic table to eat it. It was fun because I got to go collect the eggs in a little basket, fresh from the chicken coop, to use for breakfast!

Their house is so cute and it was so nice out, like the start of summer, and the breakfast was so delicious, it was just one of those moments were everything adds up to a sense of pure contentment. Love it when that happens!

Redmond Fun Times Part I

This weekend I went to Bend to visit my parents and friends. Actually, I started out in Redmond. I am really good friends with a family that is friends with my family (got that?) anyway, the mom of the family, Toni, does thrifting and antiquing and is really amazing at it. On Saturday she, and other ladies she knows from the antique mall she has a space in, had a really awesome sale at one of their beautiful houses. It happened to be when I was headed over there to go to Bend so I got to go and help out! (and of course buy many things) Here are a few pictures from the sale, it was oh so delightful and fun!

Here are some pictures of Toni's booth....

....and all the fantastic jewelery she was selling...

here are some of the things I bought!....

That wasn't all the things I bought, but the other pictures seem to have gone missing. I guess I will have to take more! Here are some things I wanted to buy, but didn't as I had already spent too much money.

That last one I really wanted the rack. It was old pull out basket gym lockers, but where would I have put it?! If only I had a craft room or studio....maybe someday.

Cute vintage hats.

Mirror fun time, yep that's me!

The whole thing was a lot of fun and hard work. I went back to their house in Redmond afterward and spent the night. More pictures of after show cocktails and breakfast the next morning coming soon!

Heat And Roses

The weather is looking up and it is starting to get warmer, yay! I love the heat. It gets pretty hot here in the summer, but I am so excited to move to Arizona where it is so much warmer all year round. Mmmm...I can feel the rays soaking in already. Spring has sprung and to celebrate here are some delicious rose pictures. Not of my garden, unfortunately I don't have one as I currently live in an apartment (another thing I am excited to change when I move), but I did take the photos, it was just a while ago. I wish I had some of these right about now. Sigh...so pretty.

Art Things

What do you do with all the old art you have made and have just sitting around? No really, what do YOU do? I have quite a bit that I cannot bring myself to just throw out, but I also don't have anywhere to sell it. I could give it away, but I don't have many people to give it to really. Hopefully someday I will figure out something to do with it.

Happy Cinco De Mayo

Okay so these pictures are not technically from Mexico, but the Caribbean is close to Mexico so it still counts right?

May the wind fill your sails.

News And A Shelf

So it is pretty much a done deal that I am going to go to grad school at the University of Arizona and will be moving to Tucson in a couple months! I am excited, but also nervous. It will be nice to do something new, and live someplace so warm, yay! This is going to be my view once we move.

Well okay, not exactly that, but pretty close since we will be living on the outskirts of town. The desert isn't my favoritest, but I have to admit that is pretty!

On a completely unrelated note, do you like my new shelf? A friend gave it to me and I hung it up over the sink.

The measuring spoons are new too. I just adore them.

Well that is pretty much it around here lately, which is why I haven't posted much. Hopefully I will have more interesting things soon!
