Spooky End Of Monday!

So Monday is almost over and I am just now getting a chance to write this. I have had a lot of homework and such the last few days so I have been busy, and I guess I could have just let this Spooky Monday pass on by, but darnit I didn't want to! I didn't want to because I have some things that I am really excited to share, and I didn't want to wait a whole nother week!

I got a gift card to Ross for my birthday and spent it all (well almost all, I bought a couple shirts too) on Halloween decorations, yay!

When I saw this tea pot I was seriously doing a little dance from delight, I adore it so!

Perfect for a girl who loves tea and Halloween!

I just got this little guy too, but he came from Goodwill.

I also was super excited about these vintagey looking Halloween cards (note, those people who will be getting a package from me, don't be surprised if you see one of these!)

Then this pillow. I love, love, love it!!

And last, but not least, this awesome sign. They had ones that said other things too and I loved them all, but I limited myself to this one.

So what do you think? Score one for Ross right?

Oh also for Spooky Monday, check out this awesome Halloween giveaway, so wonderful!

Happy Spooky Monday!

ps. Some have you may have seen those Owl Cards on my giveaway post. Well, they are by my mom and she has boxes of them and was wondering if I wanted to sell them in my Etsy shop. Being a newby to Etsy I wasn't sure if that was allowed. If you are a veteran Etsyer I would dearly appreciate your opinion on whether or not it would be okay to sell them in my shop with her permission. Thanks bunches!

Practical Magic Is Afoot!

Welcome my lovelies! Welcome to my party inspired by the movie Practical Magic. I adore this movie, and from how many people are participating in this party, I can see I am not alone!

But enough about that, won't you come in? It is a full moon, and you know what that means.

I have the table set up with all we will need for our witchy workings....

So put on your tiger's eye ladies (and possibly gentlemen), and prepare to mix up some magic. I have got mine right here.....

Oh wait I almost forgot, we need something to get us in the mood. So, speaking of mixing things up, it is time for midnight margaritas!!!

Eye of newt and toe of frog....well you know the deal!

Don't forget the Barbados lime.

How convenient!

Okay, now we are ready. The candles are lit, time to dim the lights.

What shall we do first? Have a spot of tea?

Write some letters? Don't forget to seal it with wax.

Familiars are invited too of course.

There is just so much magical loveliness, I don't know where to begin!

I know, let's whip up a spell!

We have everything we need right here...

Books.

Shall I tell your fortune?

Crystals.

Herbs of course.

Be sure blend them well...

Now, add everything to our cauldron full of spells...

And watch the magic happen!

Well thank you, you wonderful white witches, for stopping by! And do come back, you know where to find me. I will be here drinking margaritas and cooking up spells and mischief, and would welcome your company any time! Just follow the light of the hearth...

Until the next full moon....

Blessings!

Birthday Part II, And We Have A Winner!

Thank you so much everyone for all your sweet birthday wishes! I have a couple more things to share that happened on my actual birthday.

It was Monday so I had to work (I work in the Library Science offices at UofA) and the office ladies decorated my desk for my birthday, and even got me flowers and cupcakes! They are so thoughtful!

Then I got a card from my parents which my mom made. She is so talented. Wildlife drawing used to be her thing. Now she makes pottery, but I think she's still got it, don't you?!

They also are getting me the new Photoshop for my birthday which I am super excited about because the one I currently have is from like 7 years ago and doesn't work so great.

Also, Mister B's dad was here visiting and got me this!

Pretty much everyone who knows me knows they can get me anything to do with pirates and I will love it.

Inside was candy and a gift card to Ross. Yay shopping!

Okay enough about me, let's get on to the giveaway! Oh boy I am so, so, excited since this is my first giveaway ever. I can't wait to pick someone!!!! I am using the old pull 'em out of a hat method. I think Hatter would approve.

Drum roll please......and the winner is......

Lauren from Fair Rosamund!! Hm, I am looking at her blog right now and it seems that she just did a giveaway too, I guess that is karma for ya, give a little, get a little.

Lauren I will be needing your address! And everyone else, thank you so much for entering, I had such a good time I am sure I will be doing it again soon!

I also want to wish everyone a happy autumnal equinox, the weather here seems to know it is the first day of autumn and decided to do something special and rain, which is much more fitting than the 90 degree whether we have been having.

To celebrate I have managed to get my whole Buried series up in my Etsy shop, so feel free to take a gander!

Have a wonderful start of fall everyone.
