Tea And Magic

Okay so I totally blew it and forgot to take not only my camera, but also my phone (which has a camera) with me to the Harry Potter tea yesterday. I was going to do a big party post, but now it is just going to have to be a little one. I managed to get a couple pictures from my boss so you could at least get an idea of what it was like!

The food was delicious and the magician was funny, and made a rabbit appear in a flaming pan! That is me with the rabbit. I am wearing my Amy Pond Halloween costume (Mister B was The Doctor) and I will probably post more pictures of our costumes later.

I hope my party wasn't TOO disappointing, to see more head over to the party Blog hosted by Frosted Pentuias

We already went out in our costumes last night so tomorrow may just be spent at home watching spooky movies and such, but we shall see! Have a happy Halloween everyone!

Tea Party Under A Halloween Moon And Harry Potter

Hello all! I am once again having to postpone my blog party post until Sunday. I am actually going to a real tea party tomorrow at the tea room I work at. It is Harry Potter/Halloween themed, so I do hope you will come back and visit me later on to see the pictures! Happy partying.

A Halloween Party And Pumpkin Carving

My Halloween Party has finally arrived!

The reason I couldn't post until today is that I had an actual party last night that I wanted to use the photos from. It was sort of a pre-Halloween pumpkin carving party. The photos aren't great because I was so busy I kind of forgot to start taking them until half-way through, but I had a really great time and I think everyone else did too. We had dinner, watched Hocus Pocus, and carved some awesome pumpkins!

I did some decorating for the party.

This is what I made for dinner (I didn't get any before pictures) the first photo is of a steak and Guinness pie from my Jamie at Home cook book, and the second is pumpkin and ricotta stuffed giant shell pasta from the October issue of Country Living.

More decor.

Pumpkin carving!

Hot spiced cider on the stove.

The finished product.

And this one is mine!

Thanks for stopping by I hope you had some fun carving pumpkins! To visit more parties head over to A Fanciful Twist.

ps. You may have noticed that my pumpkin here looks the same as the pumpkin in the title photo of my blog. That is because I carve the same face every year on my first pumpkin. Mister B makes fun of me, but it is a pumpkin from the movie Sleepy Hollow and I love it!

Halloween Party Tomorrow And Old Posts

If you are here for the Halloween Party, welcome! I will not be able to get my party up until tomorrow so I do hope you will come back later. In the mean time since I do not want to just have nothing up right now, here are a couple of my posts from last October to peruse.

Tea Party And Oktoberfest

Well as usual I slacked off and didn't get a post up before I went on my trip this last weekend and then when I got back I got sick and so have been out for a few days. Anyhoo, here is some stuff that I wanted to post before I left. I don't have many pictures of the trip, they are mostly of the concert, but I can post some of those later if anyone is interested.

Fall inspired food and a mini fall tea party are delightful this time of year.

Birthday Part II And Other Things

So here are a few more pictures from my birthday as well as other things that happened around that same time. Why do I always seem to be so behind on sharing the pictures I want to share?

Balloons:

Mal was not a fan of having them tied to him (ignore all the shoes lying around please).

Birthday presents I bought myself:

I have been wanting a black tea cup for forever and this one was really inexpensive at Chantilly!

The tea book on the left was from my parents. The one on the right was from me.

Yummy things:

These honey pearls are also from work. They are delicious and pretty for tea.

A bird who wanted to come inside:

This might not be as funny to everyone else, but when I flip through all these pictures in a row in my viewer (I don't know how to make it do that on here) it is so silly! Mal is such a cutey.

Well that is just a bit more, but I am still behind. Hopefully I will get another post in before this weekend when I will be gone. I am going to a Jimmy Buffett concert in Vegas! Whoo!
