Here are a few more pictures from my trip home as well as some of the new house my parents are fixing up (well it is new to them, but it was built in the 20s, yay!) It is a craftsman style bungalow and within walking distance of the cute downtown part of Bend, both of which I am really excited about!
One of my family's silly cats (she is slightly insane, but adorable).
Layers of old wallpaper in the house, so neat!
On the side of the house in this picture you can see some of the paint color options. There are so many choices to make when remodeling a house. My favorite is the bottom left color although it is hard to see in the photo.
I am so excited to see how the house turns out! It should be done by the next time I go home to visit. I wanted to show you these pictures for comparison so that I could show you finished product later!
So when they were poking around under the deck they found a full on mummified cat! It is sad for the cat, but also kind of cool to see it in its mummified form (I like weird things). I have a picture of it, but I didn't want to freak anyone out by posting it. Is anyone interested in seeing it and/or is there a way I can hide it in a link or something so that only the people who want to see it have to?
Oh wow! Poor kitty....of course, I'd totally click on a link ;P
ReplyDeleteLook at the gorgeous porch! Craftsman at its best! It's going to look so beautiful when they're done....good for them still finding the time and energy to fix up a pearl like this. Just looking at the work to be done makes me tired...haha!
Love the layers of wallpaper, too!
I have seen mummified cats on the tv show Oddities, which is based out of a real shop. They do pay big bucks for that kind of thing. It could help pay for some of the renovations...
