Muffins are pretty good right? I like a nice lemon poppy seed or chocolate walnut as much as the next gal, but I never truly loved a muffin until now. Enter the rosemary strawberry buttermilk muffin from Local Milk!
Luckily for me I have the biggest rosemary bush ever in the history of the world growing in my front yard. I can't give that rosemary away quickly enough to keep up with how much it grows (seriously, if you drive by my house feel free to stop and cut some).
Strawberries, rosemary, and buttermilk, what could be better!
I love rosemary, but it is a strong herb and I was making these for other people so I toned down the amount from the recipe a little. Honestly it wasn't even necessary, I could have gone full on rosemary and it would have been delicious!
These muffins are so complex, the perfect blend of subtle sweetness and savory. I tend to prefer savory to sweet so that is just perfect for me. They are officially my favorite muffins ever!
So go forth and make muffins my friends! You won't regret it. Find the recipe HERE.
And you know what is just lovely with muffins, or really baked goods of any type? Why, tea of course!
(*Edit: After looking again at the Local Milk post for these muffins, I realized it also is about tea. Whoops, I didn't mean to copy it entirely! I guess it just goes to show that these muffins really go great with tea)
I snagged these beauties from work when we had a Downton Abbey themed tea.
So good. Tea and muffins, the perfect pair.
