Let's start with my favorite thing: getting mail! After winning a paper doll giveaway from A Fanciful Twist, I just had to have more! So I ordered some pretty postcards from her Etsy site. They came and I love them! I can't wait to frame them, send them, and give them to my friends. I couldn't decide which ones to get so I asked Vanessa if she would make up a random selection for me to buy, so I wouldn't have to choose and it would be a surprise! Like a grab bag; I could never resist those. Anyway here are the ones she sent and I adore them all!
Yay, yay, yay!
I finished this book that I got at the library.
And it was oh so good. Non-fiction travel writing is one of my favorite genres, especially when it includes adventure/ boats/ tropical places. This had all those things! But if sailing isn't your thing, don't worry this is still a great read. It is equally about how her relationship with her husband evolves during their long sailing adventure as it is about the actual sailing and places they visit. I laughed and got teary eyed all within the first few chapters. I recommend it for sure! The author also has a blog which you can look at here if you are interested.
I also finished this book which I bought. I buy these books for the photos, but I also read every little bit of writing and captions. I want an English cottage. I just love everything that has to do with England, it is at the top of my list of places to visit. I hope I can make it there someday.
One last little bit. I am newly and currently addicted to this band from the UK. They are sooo awesome, I like all the songs I have listened to.
I love to vacation at a cottage in England one day :(.
ReplyDeleteAnd lovely lovely postcards :)!
I don't know what I was expecting from that music but it wasn't that - wow! I like!
ReplyDeleteI love Vanessa's postcards. Last year I got my Christmas cards from her.
