Happy St. Patty's Day! And I Found The Pot Of Gold....

....well it isn't quite a pot, but close enough!

So awesome right?! We just got a batch of vintage tea cups in today and it was my job to price them and put them out. Most of the ones I really wanted were the expensive ones (I guess I have good taste in tea cups?), but this one was SUPER cheap, I think because it is so crazy and doesn't have a maker's mark (it just says Germany on the bottom). I normally prefer silver to gold, but this was just so ostentatious I couldn't resist! I mean every lady pirate needs a gold treasure tea cup to drink her tea with rum out of right? Good ol' Chantilly, making me spend money again.

And speaking of Chantilly we have a lot of Irish themed food there right now for the month of March and yesterday for an early St. Patrick's Day lunch I brought this home to have with tea.

It is honey-lime chicken salad, with an Irish soda bread muffin and Irish butter on the side. Oh man, let me tell you about this butter! So I always thought that all butter tasted pretty much the same, right? Wrong! This is a weird thing to say, but that butter was the best butter I have EVER had. It was delicious! I can not even describe how yummy it was with the muffin. I wish I could send you some so you could try it, I just know you would love it too.

Okay sorry, butter rant over. Here are some more photos of my St. Patty's tea. Note that I used all my green accessories.

Cuppa Tea really wanted some too.

And what afternoon tea would be complete without an issue of Victoria?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  1. Hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day! I have heard many wonderful things about Irish butter - but have never tried it. I think I will soon, however. LOL Thanks for sharing these yummy treats. Theresa

  3. I LOVE Chantilly! What fun that you work there for fun ;)

Oh, I was going to e-mail you, but I'll tell you here --- THE WIND was atrocious last night, I agree with you!

I kept waking up too, and nothing ever wakes me up...

The gypsy wagon/garden whists around but stays in tact. Crossing fingers ;)

The garden is budding. I am going to name 3 pumpkin vines after you okay? ;)

    Love, V
